At the recent release event for the second song Raa Macha Macha from the highly anticipated film Game Changer, Global Star Ram Charan‘s remarkable dance and performance skills were praised by star director Shankar. The film, a grand collaboration between Ram Charan and Shankar, is a big-budget project produced by Dil Raju and Shirish under the banners of Sri Venkateswara Creations, Zee Studios, and Dil Raju Productions, with Kiara Advani as the female lead. The movie is set to release in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi languages during Christmas 2024.
Speaking at the event held at St. Martin’s College, producer Dil Raju shared, “We kicked off the promotions of Game Changer from this college. I’ve been a fan of Shankar’s work since Gentleman. Every song in his films is special, and Game Changer is no different. Five songs have been shot in unique ways, with three more spectacular songs yet to come. After RRR, Ram Charan’s Game Changer is our big release for Christmas.”
Ram Charan’s Game Changer ‘Raa Macha Macha’ Galvanises
Director Shankar added, “The Telugu audience has always embraced my films, and I’ve long wanted to make a direct Telugu film. With Game Changer, I’ve poured my heart into every detail. This is the first time I’ve directed a hero introduction song, featuring 1,000 folk artists to represent Telugu culture. Ram Charan delivers an incredible performance, especially in the one-minute BGM dance sequence, which he completed in a single take. He’s an exceptional dancer and performer, and in this film, he’ll be seen in a whole new dimension. I also want to thank producers Dil Raju and Shirish for their support. Additionally, SJ Suryah is a phenomenal actor, and his scenes with Charan are a treat to watch.”
SJ Suryah, who plays a pivotal role in the film, expressed his excitement: “It’s an honor to return to the Telugu audience with Game Changer. Acting alongside Ram Charan under Shankar’s direction is a dream come true. The film is packed with drama, entertainment, emotion, and action. I play the role of Mopidevi, and I promise the movie will exceed expectations.”
Music director S.S. Thaman reminisced about his journey with Shankar, saying, “I first worked with Shankar 20 years ago in Boys, and now I’m composing music for Game Changer. The response to the Jaragandi song has been overwhelming, and we’re excited to present the Raa Macha Macha song to everyone. Working with Dil Raju again, after Vakeel Saab, has been a memorable experience.”
Veteran actor Srikanth, who plays a key role, also shared his joy, saying, “It’s a pleasure to release the second song Ra Macha Macha Ra among the students. Ram Charan is like a son to me, and working with him again after Govindudu Andarivadele has been a special experience. I’ve always wanted to work under Shankar’s direction, and Game Changer has given me that opportunity with a challenging and rewarding role.”
Lyricist Ananth Sriram, who penned the song, added, “It’s an honor to see our journey begin at St. Martin’s Engineering College. The line Raa Macha Macha was inspired directly by director Shankar. This song is a tribute to Ram Charan, with one line dedicated to Chiranjeevi. I’m grateful to Shankar, Thaman, and Dil Raju for giving me this opportunity.”
With the film gearing up for its Christmas 2024 release, the excitement for Game Changer continues to build, promising a grand cinematic experience with Ram Charan in an exciting new avatar.
