Samantha Erases Naga Chaitanya’s Tattoo?

Samantha, who recently was seen in the movie “Khushi,” shared a striking picture of herself in a beautiful pink saree on Instagram. Her captivating poses and timeless beauty in the photograph undoubtedly captivated her fans. However, what truly piqued their interest was the conspicuous absence of the ‘Chay’ tattoo on her ribs.

The tattoo, featuring the word ‘Chay’ (an affectionate short form for Chaitanya), had been a prominent and enduring feature on her right ribcage. Samantha had previously shared photographs, even post-divorce from Naga Chaitanya, where the tattoo was unmistakably visible. Yet, in this recent snapshot, the tattoo was noticeably missing, sparking speculations among her admirers about whether she had it removed or artfully concealed it with makeup.

This curious development among her followers led to comments such as, “Where is the Tattoo??? Pic is astonishing,” and the use of various surprise emojis.

Samantha initially got the ‘Chay’ tattoo in 2019, during her relationship with Chaitanya, and it was prominently inked in cursive font on her ribcage. Although it seems to have been removed recently, it was still noticeable at the premiere of “Citadel” in London, an event she attended in April.

During an Ask Me Anything session on Instagram a few months ago, a fan inquired if she regretted getting the tattoo. Samantha subtly hinted that, in hindsight, it might have been wiser not to get a tattoo in the first place, smiling as she responded, “You know the one thing I’d tell my younger self is never ever get a tattoo. Never. Never ever. Ever, get a tattoo.”

It’s noteworthy that Samantha has a total of three tattoos. One is the ‘YMC’ tattoo on her back, signifying the initials of her debut movie, “Ye Maaya Chesave,” released in 2010 and co-starring Naga Chaitanya. The second is the ‘Chay’ tattoo, and the third is a symbol of two upward arrows on her right wrist. Interestingly, Chaitanya also sports a similar tattoo on his right wrist.

On the work front, Samantha took a brief hiatus from films after a string of box office disappointments, including “Yashoda,” “Shakuntalam,” and “Khushi.” Nevertheless, she is all set to make her comeback in the web series “Citadel,” where she will share the screen with Varun Dhawan, under the direction of Raj & DK.
