Samantha and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma are reportedly discussing plans to co-produce a female-centric project, with Samantha taking on the lead role. They are considering releasing it as a Pan-India film or a web series, but technical details are yet to be disclosed.
Anushka Sharma’s brother Karnesh Sharma is rumored to be the director of the project, which is expected to cost around 25 crore rupees. Samantha hopes to leverage her popularity among the Hindi audience after her appearance in Family Man 2. However, her recent film Shaakuntalam did not perform well at the box office.
Samantha also appears in a few episodes of the Citadel series, set in India, which is yet to gain traction among audiences. It remains to be seen if the joint venture between Samantha and Anushka will prove successful.
