Puri Jagannath’s son Akash Puri’s Romantic directed by Anil Paduri released today. Here is the film’s review.

Vasco De Gama (Akash Puri) dreams of becoming a dreaded criminal in his quest to earn easy money, Where he is able to achieve his goal, and how Monica (Ketika Sharma) and inspector Ramya Govarikar (Ramya Krishna) is connected form the story of Romantic.

Akash performed well and did action scenes also to showcase his heroism on screen. He also delivered powerful dialogues. However, he did not suit as a dreaded gangster as he did not get the look to do such a role. Ketika Sharma on debut did a bold role and she looked sensuous in an ultra-glamorous role. She did not get much scope to show her acting skills. Ramya Krishna did a powerful role and this is different from the roles she did earlier. Others like Uttej did their roles accordingly.

Sunil Kashyap’s music is good and he elevated the scenes with his background score. The cinematography is good. Editing left a lot to be desired. Production values are good. Anil Paduri directed a typical Puri Jagannath story. Dialogues are good. The story is predictable and interest is generated at the interval block. The second half starts on an interesting note but it quickly disappears. Predictable screenplay and narration spoiled Romantic.
