Lady Superstar Nayanthara’s new film, Mookuthi Amman had a direct OTT premiere on November 14, 2020, as Diwali special on noted streaming platform Disney Plus Hotstar. Directed by RJ Balaji, the film is a devotional satire based on ongoing activities in contemporary society.
Released amidst good expectations, the film has been receiving largely positive feedback from the critics and moviegoers. Nayanthara’s screen presence as Goddess and director RJ Balaji’s fun-filled narration are the main highlights of the film. A strong message against Godmen and exposing the fake baba’s in society has also been handled well.
Mookuthi Amman is available in Telugu as Ammoru Thalli and has RJ Balaji and senior actress Urvashi in key roles.
