The much-anticipated film “Guntur Kaaram,” starring superstar Mahesh Babu and directed by Trivikram, initially generated a lot of buzz when it was first announced. However, the project faced a series of challenges and controversies throughout its production journey. Months of delays and changes in the film’s storyline caused quite a stir, including the replacement of actors and rumors suggesting key technicians might also be replaced. Despite these setbacks, the film is now back on track, with regular shooting underway, and it’s set for release during the Sankranthi festival.
One of the major talking points surrounding the film was the departure of its leading lady, Pooja Hegde. Producer Naga Vamsi clarified the reasons behind her exit, explaining that the film’s original release date was set for August but was later pushed to January due to unforeseen circumstances. With ample time on hand, the production proceeded at a slower pace, leading to scheduling conflicts for Pooja Hegde with her commitments to another Hindi film, ultimately leading to her departure from “Guntur Kaaram.”
Following Pooja’s exit, Sree Leela, who was initially cast as the second female lead, was promoted to the main heroine opposite Mahesh Babu, while Meenakshi Chaudhary stepped in as the new second female lead. Naga Vamsi also confirmed that the film is on track for a January 12th release and mentioned that two songs have already been recorded, with the first single from the film set to be released soon.
Naga Vamsi also provided insights into other projects under their banner. He clarified that Sree Leela is indeed playing the female lead opposite Vijay Deverakonda in Gautam Tinnanuri’s directorial. Additionally, they have several other films in production, including Vaisshnav Teja’s “Adikesava,” Vishwak Sen’s “Gangs Of Godavari,” and Siddhu’s “Tillu Square.” He hinted at a unique story for Nandamuri Balakrishna’s film with Bobby and mentioned that Allu Arjun’s film with Trivikram and NTR’s film with Trivikram are in the pipeline.
