“Mass Maharaj” Ravi Teja, who had been struggling to score a hit for a long time, made a comeback with his recent releases “Dhamaka” and “Waltair Veerayya.” Both films were well received by the audience and critics, and Ravi Teja’s performance was highly appreciated. Now, the actor is all set to entertain his fans with his upcoming film, “Ravana Sura,” a crime thriller that is expected to be an edge-of-the-seat experience.

The team behind “Ravana Sura” is extremely confident about the film and is leaving no stone unturned in its promotion. The makers have already released a poster claiming it as a ‘hat-trick’ hit after the success of Ravi Teja’s previous two films. However, it remains to be seen if the film will live up to the hype and expectations.

Story:

Ravi Teja plays the role of a criminal lawyer in the film, working alongside his ex-girlfriend Kanaka Mahalakshmi portrayed by Faria Abdullah. Despite having a lot on their plate, Ravi takes a special interest in the case of a woman named Harika, played by Megha Akash. It remains unclear why he is so invested in her case, but it forms a crucial part of the film’s plot.

As the story unfolds, it becomes apparent that there is a link between Ravi and a series of gruesome murders that have been taking place. The film follows Ravi as he tries to uncover the truth behind these murders and clear his name of any wrongdoing. Along the way, he faces several challenges and obstacles that test his skills as a lawyer and his determination to get to the bottom of the case.

The film explores themes of crime, justice, and redemption, and it will be interesting to see how the various plot threads are woven together. With Ravi Teja’s captivating performance and the skilled direction of the filmmakers, the movie is expected to be a thrilling ride for the audience.

Analysis:

The movie is a mix of commercial drama and thriller elements, with a storyline that focuses on a series of murders.

In the first half of the movie, there is a blend of commercial and thriller genres, with the characters of Kanaka Mahalakshmi and Ravi dominating the screen. The plot has elements of comedy and romance, but it lacks originality and feels formulaic.

However, as the movie progresses towards the interval, the thriller aspect takes over and the plot becomes more intriguing. The series of murders and the sequences leading up to the interval are where the movie grabs the attention of the audience.

The second half of the movie continues with the momentum and the thrills that began before the interval. However, as the plot unfolds and the reason for the killings is revealed, the movie loses its grip. The core plot is predictable and offers nothing new, and the illogical thrill elements become over-the-top and ridiculous.

The prosthetic makeup used in the movie is unconvincing, and the climax is reached in a logic-less way, destroying the intrigue that had been built up earlier. It would have been better if the law and criminal lawyer aspects of the plot were cleverly used.

Highlights:

Ravi Teja in a negative shade

Pre-Interval

Post-Interval scenes

Drawbacks:

Predictable story

Logicless scenes

Missing Thrills

Verdict:

Overall, Ravanasura is a decent commercial drama with some thriller elements. Some parts of the movie offer intrigue, but the illogical and over-the-top proceedings hinder the impact of the movie. If you are a fan of Ravi Teja and want to see him do something different, you can watch the movie, but keep your expectations in check.
