Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga, known for his groundbreaking film “Arjun Reddy,” has so far directed only one film, the Hindi remake of his Telugu blockbuster, titled “Kabir Singh.” Audiences eagerly await his next venture, and he is now gearing up for his upcoming film, “Animal.” The film stars Ranbir Kapoor as the protagonist, with Rashmika Mandanna playing the female lead. Principal photography for the movie has been completed, and the post- production work is currently in full swing. The film is scheduled to release on August 11th.
The trade industry has high expectations for “Animal,” anticipating it to make a significant impact at the box office, following the likes of “Pathaan” and “Adipurush.” Some intriguing leaks about the storyline of the film are circulating within Mumbai circles. Sources suggest that Ranbir Kapoor’s character will be portrayed as a calm physics lecturer, while his father, portrayed by Anil Kapoor, is a gangster. Bobby Deol will take on the role of the villain. The plot takes a twist when the villain, aided by other criminals, kills Ranbir’s father, leading Ranbir’s character to transform into an “animal” and embark on a vengeful killing spree.
Given Sandeep’s penchant for intense portrayals of his protagonists, the murders depicted in the film are expected to be extremely violent. With the backdrop of the mafia, “Animal” promises to be an action-packed and violent affair. While nothing has been officially confirmed, leaked images align with these rumors, and the film’s promotional campaign is expected to commence soon. It’s worth noting that Sunny Deol’s “Gaddar 2” is also slated to release on the same day, but the buzz surrounding “Animal” is currently dominating the conversation. In the Telugu industry, “Bholaa Shankar” is set to release around the same time, while Rajinikanth’s “Jailer” will arrive on the same date. Once “Animal” hits the screens, Sandeep will shift his focus to his next project, “Spirit.”
