Rana Daggubati, the son of leading producer Suesh Babu and the grandson of legendary D Ramanaidu has made his mark with debut movie Leader. He soon entered Bollywood with Dhum Maro Dhum and did a few movies in Hindi along with Tamil.
The handsome hunk who carved a niche for himself with versatile roles, rose to much bigger fame with his role of Bhallaladeva in Baahubali.
After the success of Baahubali, Rana also appeared in Rudhramadevi. However, his career didn’t take off as expected as a solo hero. Except for Nene Raju Nene Mantri, none of his movies as a solo hero fared well at the box-office.
Rana’s recent movies Aranya, 1945 were massive duds. His long-awaited movie Virataparvam finally seals the release date.
Directed by Venu Udugula, Virataparvam is said to be a period drama set in the 1990s era with naxal backdrop. There were rumors that Sai Pallavi’s role resembles rebel singer Belli Lalitha who was brutally killed by Nayeem’s men. After a long delay, the movie is all set to release on 1st July.
