It is well-known that Mega Powerstar Ram Charan has acquired the remake rights of Malayalam hit, Lucifer and planning to remake it with his dad Megastar Chiranjeevi. Initially, Saaho director Sujeeth was roped in to take care of the Telugu version direction responsibilities but later due to unknown reasons, the project is handed over to VV Vinayak.
Currently, Vinayak and his team are working on the script and screenplay to suit the Telugu nativity. Meanwhile, the latest news from industry sources reveal that senior actress Ramya Krishna is in talks to portray the original role played by Manju Warrier in the Malayalam version. However, an official confirmation regarding the same is awaited.
Noted producer NV Prasad will be co-producing the film and is expected to go on floors sometime in 2021.
