Acclaimed filmmaker SS Rajamouli and Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu are joining hands for their upcoming Pan-India project, tentatively titled #SSMB29. Which is set to be officially launched on August 9th.
Currently, the team is deeply engrossed in the pre-production phase and script development for the movie, which is said to be an adventurous drama set in the African jungle.
Reports suggest that the film will draw inspiration from revered superhumans like Lord Hanuman from Indian mythology.
The decision to launch the film on August 9th is significant as it coincides with Mahesh Babu’s birthday, adding an extra layer of celebration to the event. The makers are also investing substantial time and effort in creating pre-visualization material for the launch.
The principal photography and serious production work for the film are planned to commence early next year.
In recent updates, it has been clarified that Aamir Khan will not be portraying the role of an antagonist in the movie, contrary to earlier speculations.
Financed by prominent Tollywood producer KL Narayana, the project is expected to be one of the most expensive Indian films ever made. The movie is expected to have a theatrical release either in 2025 or 2026.
