The film “Rahasyam Idham Jagat” has recently captured attention with its engaging promotional content. Blending science fiction with mythology, this movie aims to enthrall contemporary audiences with various intriguing elements. The film is set to explore themes from our epics and discuss the Sri Chakra, creating a fresh experience for viewers. Scheduled for release on November 8, the film features Rakesh Galevi, Sravanthi Prattipati, Manasa Veena, and Bhargav Gopinath in pivotal roles, and is produced under the Single Cell Universe Production banner, directed by Komal R. Bharadwaj.
The recently released teaser and trailer have received an unexpected positive response, with praises coming from prominent writer Vijayendra Prasad and actor Sudheer Babu, among others. On Sunday, lead actresses Sravanthi Patipati and Manasa Veena shared insights about the film during a media interaction.
Manasa Veena shared her background: “I trained in acting at film school and have worked on several short films and Hollywood web series. I currently live in the U.S., and this is my first feature film. I auditioned for this film and was selected for the role of Aruni Acharya, which I personally resonate with. The concept of connecting science fiction with mythology and the backdrop of time travel captivated me. Since childhood, I’ve been fascinated by stories like Harry Potter, and I have also read the Ramayana and Mahabharata. I did research for my role as well. My grandfather produced the film ‘Ali Baba 40 Thieves,’ so I have some background in cinema.”
She praised director Komal R. Bharadwaj for his passion and dedication to the film, stating, “He worked very hard on this project, and it will definitely showcase his directorial talent. We can expect more great films from him in the future. The entire shooting took place in the U.S., and we faced many challenges during production. I am grateful to the director for giving such a wonderful opportunity to those of us living in the U.S. who are passionate about cinema. This film is a labor of love, and I am confident everyone will enjoy it.”
Sravanthi Prattipati also shared her journey: “I was born and raised in Rajahmundry, but I completed my education in the U.S. and currently work there. I’ve acted in several Hollywood films as well. When I got the opportunity for this Telugu film shot in the U.S., it felt like a pleasant surprise. I’m primarily a theater artist and have performed many stage plays. I also completed a course in acting methods.
In this film, my character’s name is Akira, and I believe audiences will connect with her. While working in the U.S., I have been focusing on this film fully. Notably, writer Vijayendra Prasad is my grandfather, and I have taken his advice and suggestions for my career. The film’s concept and the trailer really appealed to me.”
She added that the film discusses what truly happens during time travel, particularly when Hanuman travels to different worlds. She acknowledged the various challenges faced during shooting, such as sudden snow and heat in the U.S., and that filming took place in risky locations. “This film will certainly bring good recognition to all of us as actors. I believe it will provide audiences with a fresh theatrical experience.”
With a talented cast and crew, “Rahasyam Idham Jagat” aims to stand out and offer something special to its viewer
