Eid is a big time for the film industry. As bhaijaan of Bollywood, Salman Khan, always has a release on that date, much to the delight of his fans world over.
This year, he was supposed to give a release in Radhe. But the pandemic has pushed the shoot and release date further. So, rumours were doing rounds in the last few days that Radhe will have an OTT release.
Given that it is a Salman Khan film and the fact that post-lockdown, theatres and multi-plexes are functioning at half capacity, his fans went into frenzy. In fact, Salman Khan himself has stated a few days back that the joy of watching a big-ticket film on mobile was nothing when compared to watching it on the big screen.
Radhe resumed shoot on October 4 at ND Studios in Karjat and patchwork was being done at Mehboob studios. The film Radhe: Your most wanted bhai is being directed by Prabhu Deva. Disha Patani gets to play the leading lady and Randeep Hooda is also part of the film.
The film’s producer Sohail Khan has made it clear that Radhe will not release via OTT.
Meanwhile, trade analyst Taran Adarsh also tweeted that the rumours of the film skipping theatrical release are baseless and that the producers will release the film in theatres on Eid 2021.
