Prabhas’ highly anticipated project, “Project K,” has been receiving an overwhelming response from fans and audiences alike, with expectations soaring high. Recently, at the Comic Con event in San Diego, USA, the makers unveiled the film’s title and the first glimpse, leaving the audience spellbound.
Titled “Kalki 2898 – AD,” the sci-fi thriller has sparked speculation about its intriguing storyline. In this movie, Prabhas will portray the final and tenth avatar of Lord Vishnu, known as Kalki. The narrative revolves around Lord Vishnu taking the form of Kalki to put an end to the violence and wickedness prevailing among the people. His mission is to decimate evil forces and restore harmony.
Kalki’s birth is foretold to be in the village of Sambhala, to the Brahmin Vishnu Yashassu. As the prophesied savior, Kalki will wield a powerful sword and ride a white horse to fulfill his destiny. His ultimate purpose is to eradicate the existing evils and establish the Satya Yuga, the era of truth and righteousness. The name “Kalki” signifies the removal of Dosha, implying the elimination of all impurities and wrongdoing.
The movie delves into the transition from the Dwapara Yuga, marked by Lord Krishna’s avatar and the submergence of Dwaraka, to the Kali Yuga. During this period, the existence of the sacred Sambhala village becomes a matter of curiosity and quest, with only the righteous being able to discover its secrets.
As “Project K” explores the epic and mythical journey of Kalki, portrayed by Prabhas, audiences are eagerly awaiting the cinematic spectacle that promises to surprise with its grandeur, action, and profound storyline. The film’s fusion of science fiction elements with divine mythology has created a buzz that continues to build as the movie is expected to release for Sankranthi next year.
