Prabhas and Om Raut’s ambitious mythological drama, Adipurush, inspired by the epic Ramayana, faced a disappointing outcome at the box office and left fans unimpressed. As a consequence, Prabhas has reportedly made the decision to refrain from working with Bollywood directors for the time being. He has even expressed disinterest in listening to scripts from Bollywood directors and is said to have cancelled an already committed project with director Siddharth Anand.
The cancelled project, a big actioner featuring Prabhas and Hrithik Roshan, had generated tremendous excitement among fans when the news went viral. Naveen Yerneni, from Mythri Movie Makers, had met with director Siddharth Anand in the past, further fueling anticipation for the multistarrer. However, this landmark project for Mythri Movie Makers will not be able to go on floors next year.
Siddharth Anand, known for directing Hrithik Roshan in blockbusters like Bang Bang and War, had plans to work on the Prabhas and Hrithik Roshan multistarrer after completing the shooting of Fighter, which also stars Hrithik Roshan. Unfortunately, the underwhelming performance of Adipurush has led Prabhas to temporarily decline projects with Bollywood directors.
Had the Prabhas and Hrithik Roshan multistarrer come to fruition, it would have been a monumental event in Indian cinema. However, due to the current circumstances, Prabhas has decided to be cautious about his choices and take a step back from collaborations with Bollywood directors.
