Bellamkonda Sreenivas, who gained popularity with his Telugu films dubbed into Hindi, has now made his Bollywood debut with the movie “Chatrapathi.” A remake of the Prabhas-Rajamouli film of the same name. The recently released teaser generated positive buzz, and now the theatrical trailer has been released by the makers.
The trailer starts with the protagonist’s quest to find his mother and younger brother, who migrated to India from Pakistan after riots in 1985. He faces off against powerful people to fight for the rights of his fellow refugees. The trailer concludes with the mother shooting the protagonist with a gun.
Director VV Vinayak has turned “Chatrapathi” into a full-blown action film, changing the backdrop from the original. The trailer offers an action-packed spectacle for the masses, with Sreenivas Bellamkonda effortlessly portraying the title role with rugged and massy charm. Nushrratt Bharuccha plays Sreenivas’ love interest and adds glamour to the film.
Produced by the popular production house Pen Studios, “Chatrapathi” is written by KV Vijayendra Prasad, who also penned the story for the original film. Directed by VV Vinayak, the movie is scheduled to release on May 12th.
