Srikanth’s son Roshan, Sree Leela’s Peeli SandaD is releasing today. Here is the film’s review.
Maaya (Shivani Rajasekhar) an aspiring director threatens her dad (Rajasekhar) to some how convince Vasishtya (Raghavendra Rao), Dronacharya awardee to give consent to her to do a bipic of him. Vasishta starts narrating his story as a young basketball player Vasishta (Roshan) and his love story with Sahasra (Sree Leela).
Sreekanth’s son Roshan who made his debut with this film, performed well as a youngster. He exhibited various expressions and emotions and showed his talent in stunts and dances. Sree Leela oozed with glamor and gave ample beauty treat on screen especially in songs. She looked cute in her expressions. Raghavendra Rao made his debut as an actor. Others like Rajendra Prasad,Prakash Raj, Rao Ramesh,Posani Krishna Murali,Vennela Kishore,Tanikella Bharani,Raghu Babu,Jhansi,Fish Venkat,Shakalaka Shankar performed well in their roles.
Director Gowri Ronanki tried to recreate the magic of yesteryear classic Pelli Sandadi. However she came with an outdated story and routine elements much to the disappointment of all. There are not twists and turns and had the film released in 80s also it wouldn’t have succeeded. It ended up testing the patience of the viewers.
Keeravani came with melodious and beautiful tunes and all the songs are well shot. Cinematography of Sunil Kumar is good. Editing of Tammiraju left a lot to be desired. Production values are grand.
