Pawan Kalyan’s Janasena Party is gearing up for the upcoming elections in Telangana, with plans to contest 32 seats. Interestingly, the Election Commission has decided to assign the ‘Glass’ symbol to the 87 uncontested seats, giving other contestants an interesting emblem to use.
The party’s president, Pawan Kalyan, expressed his gratitude towards the Election Commission for granting the ‘Glass Tumbler’ symbol for both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana elections. This symbol will help the party stand out in the political arena.
To further their election preparations, Pawan Kalyan has appointed in-charges for various Assembly constituencies in Telangana. This move underscores the Janasena Party’s commitment to fulfilling the aspirations of the Telangana movement. Kalyan also paid tribute to the 1,300 martyrs who sacrificed their lives during the statehood movement. He emphasized that despite achieving a separate state, many of the expectations of these brave individuals remain unfulfilled.
Telangana is scheduled to hold its elections in November, December, coinciding with other states like Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, and Mizoram. In a surprising twist, another party named ‘Jatheeya Janasena’ applied for recognition, and the Election Commission assigned the ‘Bucket’ symbol to this newly emerging political entity. It will be interesting to see how these parties and symbols influence the upcoming elections in Telangana.
