Sreenu Vaitla, once a celebrated commercial director with several hits and an industry blockbuster to his Dookudu to his name, is currently facing an extended rough patch in his career. His recent films such as Aagadu, Brucelee, Mister, and Amar Akbar Antony have been outright disasters, while his personal life has also taken a toll on him. To make matters worse, two of his completed projects were shelved, leaving the director in a state of worry and uncertainty.
Sreenu Vaitla had initially announced the sequel to his hit film Dhee, titled “Dhee & Dhee,” starring Vishnu Manchu and Faria Abdullah in the lead. However, the movie was eventually scrapped even after filming a few schedules. Later, he had planned to work with a top producer’s son, but that project also met with the same fate and got shelved even before production began.
In a bid to make a comeback, Vaitla is now pinning all his hopes on a big-budget movie featuring struggling star Gopichand as the hero. The director is aware of the importance of this project and is leaving no stone unturned to ensure that it overcomes all the challenges and reaches the finish line successfully.
For Sreenu Vaitla, the success of this film is crucial as it could make or break his career in Tollywood. The director is, therefore, taking extra caution and making every effort to ensure that the film becomes a solid hit at the box office. Only time will tell if this project will be the much-needed boost that Vaitla’s career requires.
