The actor has been awarded the Best Actor at the 2023 Iconic Gold Awards, following his starring role in the spiritual thriller Karthikeya 2. The film, directed by Chandoo Mondeti, was a hit not only in the Tollywood film industry, but also in Bollywood, surprising audiences across the country.
Karthikeya 2’s themes of spirituality and references to Lord Krishna struck a chord with movie lovers, leading to its success. The movie also starred Anupama Parameswaran as the female lead, with Anupam Kher playing an important role. Srinivas Reddy, Harsh Chemudu, Aditya Menon, Praveen, Satya, and Tulasi were also part of the cast, while the music was composed by Kaala Bhairava.
