Of late, a new trend has caught up in Tollywood. Following “Baahubali”, the makers are planning for two-part movies. While “Pushpa 2” is in the making, there are rumors that even Pawan Kalyan’s “OG”, and NTR’s “Devara” also be made in two parts.
The makers of “Salaar” have already confirmed that it’s a two-part movie and Mahesh Babu’s movie seems to be a three-part movie. However, director Vashisht has announced that “Bimbisara” will also be a two-part film. This has raised questions about whether there is a trend emerging in the industry for films to be released in multiple parts. Although “Baahubali” was released as a two-part film due to its extensive storyline, it did not set a precedent for future films.
It’s been over a year since “Bimbisara” released and there’s no update on the sequel yet. The director has recently announced a movie with Chiranjeevi which will go on floors soon. Earlier, it was rumoured that NTR will be a part of Bimbisara’s sequels. But, there’s no update from the producer and director even though the movie was huge commercial hit.
