Two years ago, the Malayalam film ‘Nayattu’ made waves, depicting how individuals within the system often become victims of the same system and end up as scapegoats. The film received critical acclaim and enjoyed commercial success. Shortly after its release, there was talk of a Telugu remake. Geetha Arts secured the rights, and Karun Kumar was set to direct. Rao Ramesh, Priyadarshi, and Anjali were expected to be the main cast, and schedules were planned. However, the project did not progress.
After a hiatus, the film was officially announced this year with a new team and is titled ‘Kota Bommali PS’. The film is now in the final stages of production. Initially, the casting generated excitement, but opinions have shifted. Joju George’s role, which is now played by Srikanth, was highly regarded, and many believe Rao Ramesh would have been the ideal choice. Although Srikanth is an accomplished actor, it remains to be seen if he suits the character and whether he can bring it to life. Srikanth is not currently in top form.
Rahul Vijay and Shivani Rajasekhar are taking on the other roles that were initially slated for Priyadarshi and Anjali. It remains to be seen if they can do justice to these characters. Teja Mari is directing the film, with Bunny Vass and Vidya Koppineedi as producers. Jagadeesh Cheekati is the director of photography, and Rajnin Raj and Midhun Mukundan are composing the music. Karthika Srinivas is the editor, while Gandi Nadikudikar is the editor.
