The southern superstar Nayanatara has been chosen to be cast opposite Malayalam producer-actor Fahadh Faasil in Alphonse Puthren’s Paattu or Song. The same was announced by the director who took to social media to post the message. He added that further details about cast and crew will be revealed later.
For some time, Nayanatara was written off, due to problems in her personal life. But the actress has bounced back and has been giving hit after hit, winning her the title of southern lady superstar.
The film happens to be Puthren’s third film after Premam and Neram. This time, he appears to be making a musical film, based on the posters he released. When it released, Premam was much loved both by audiences and critics.
While Puthren announced the film in September, he took time to finalise the heroine and has the announcement much to the delight of both Faasil and Nayanatara fans.
Alphonse Puthren will also be providing music for the film and it will be released in Malayalam language.
Nayanatara, originally a Malayalee, has acted in about 12 films in all in the language. In fact she debuted with Sathyan Anthikad’s Malayalam film Manassinakkare in 2003. The film’s success got her more offers which kick-started her acting journey.
She had acted with Fahadh Faasil in Tamil film Velaikkaran (2017), which also starred Sivakartikeyan.
