‘Natural Star’ Nani hasn’t delivered a hit after Jersey. His recent movie V, Ante Sundaraniki didn’t live up to the expectations and the actor has pinned all his hopes on the upcoming period drama Dasara. Set in the Singareni coal mines, the movie raised expectations ever since the trailer was out.
Though Nani is confident about the movie, his statements comparing the movie with RRR and Kantara didn’t go well with some audiences and called him overconfident. Nani is also upset that people are actually comparing his words in a different sense. “I’ve said that Dasara will be like another RRR and KGF2, but that doesn’t mean I’m talking about the scale, budget, and box office revenues of the project. Every year, we deliver one or two classics to the nation, and what I mean is that this year Dasara is going to be such a classic film that will stun the whole nation”, said Nani, clarifying what he actually meant.
Nani also said that Dasara will not have any similarities to Pushpa except for the rugged looks and period backdrop. Directed by the debutant Srikanth Odela, Dasara is slated for March release. Keerthy Suresh is playing the female lead in this movie.
