Nagarjuna, known for his willingness to take on diverse roles and work with emerging talent, has often ventured into experimental films. However, with experimentation comes a higher risk of failure than success, as seen with his previous two movies, “Wild Dog” and “The Ghost.” Despite the promising trailers and teasers, both films fell short of expectations on the big screen.
Following the disappointing outcome of “The Ghost,” Nagarjuna seemingly took a significant break, enjoying a sort of sabbatical for the past few months. Finally, he has now signed his next project.
According to reports, Nagarjuna has given his nod to the script of Ajay Bhupathi, the director of the acclaimed film “RX100,” and an official announcement is expected to be made soon. Previously, there were discussions about a project between Nagarjuna and writer Prasanna Kumar, but that did not materialize.
Ajay Bhupathi, having faced a setback with his last venture “Maha Samudram,” will be eagerly looking forward to tasting success with his upcoming film. Currently, he is awaiting the release of “Mangalavaaram,” a village thriller.
Nagarjuna has always been a patron of new talent in the industry. From supporting directors like RGV, YVS Chowdary, Kalyan Krishna, and Krishna Vamsi in the past, he has consistently encouraged and given opportunities to emerging filmmakers. Now, he has extended a chance to the talented director of “RX100,” Ajay Bhupathi.
Let us hope that Nagarjuna makes a powerful comeback and reclaims his position at the top with his upcoming project.
