Tollywood’s star hero Nagarjuna Akkineni was fondly called as ‘Celluloid Scientist’ as he’s the one who experimented a lot with movies and introduced several technicians to the film industry. However, the last few years have not been in his favor. Except for Bangarraju, all his movies have been duds at the box office.
Nagarjuna’s latest outing The Ghost movie ended as a box-office disaster though it’s doing good on Netflix. Currently, Nagarjuna is hosting the Telugu reality show Bigg Boss 6 and has taken a short gap from movies.
As per the sources, Nagarjuna will soon appear in the remake of the Malayalam movie Porinju Mariam Jose. Writer Bejawada Prasanna Kumar is likely to make his debut as a director with this movie. As regular action flicks are not working, Nagarjuna seems to have decided to focus more on content-based movies. An official announcement is yet to be made on this. On the other hand, Nagarjuna is also listening to scripts for his 100th movie and it is speculated that Akhil will play an important role in the movie.
