Naga Chaitanya’s 23rd film, titled “Thandel,” has garnered significant attention. Directed by Chandoo Mondeti, known for collaborations with the actor in “Premam” (2016) and “Savyasachi” (2018), the movie has been in the limelight.
Earlier announcements confirmed Sai Pallavi’s participation in the film, marking her second project alongside Chaitanya after their 2021 film “Love Story.” In an interview, Chaitanya expressed excitement about the project, emphasizing the closeness he shares with the team. He mentioned the film’s imminent commencement around mid-December, revealing his role as a fisherman, a new territory for him as an actor.
Chandoo Mondeti and Naga Chaitanya undertook pre-production efforts, including a visit to the K Matchilesam village in Srikakulam, aiming to understand the lifestyle and culture of the fisherfolk. These interactions proved pivotal in grasping the nuances of the community’s life, body language, and the essence of the village setting.
“Thandel,” produced under the Geeta Arts banner, holds a significant position with Allu Arvind presenting the film and Bunny Vas is producing the movie.
