It’s been close to a year since Rajamouli’s magnum opus RRR hit the screens. The epic period drama, which has been making waves worldwide, was a fictional story based on the lives and times of India’s freedom fighters Komaram Bheem and Allu Seetaramaraju played by NTR and Ram Charan.
Rajamouli has been making all the best efforts to win the Oscars for this movie in any category and is touring the world, spending lavishly for promotions across the globe. As per the latest update, RRR has been shortlisted in one of the 10 categories announced. The movie is competing with other 14 entries in the Best Music (Original Score) category. Composed by MM Keeravaani, the outstanding mass track Naatu Naatu has been selected as one of the tracks that will be going to be nominated for the Oscars. The Academy will announce nominations on January 24, 2023.
The 95th Academy Awards will be held on March 12, 2023, at the Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood. It remains to be seen whether the movie can win any awards at the next Oscars.
