Tripti Dimri has become a prominent figure in Indian cinema, especially after her role in Animal. Her Instagram following surged from around 600K to 3.5M post the film’s release, a testament to her growing popularity. Recently, she candidly shared her parents’ reaction to the intimate scenes in Animal.
“My parents were deeply affected by the intimate scenes. It was unexpected for them, and they expressed their discomfort, mentioning they hadn’t witnessed such scenes in any film before. They felt I shouldn’t have taken on such roles and were hurt seeing me in those scenes on screen,” Tripti disclosed in a recent interview.
She mentioned trying to reassure them, explaining that such scenes are a professional requirement and not morally wrong. However, she admitted that her parents are still grappling with the cultural shock induced by her role and certain scenes in the movie.
