In what could be considered as an interesting development, team India former captain MS Dhoni is set to venture into filmmaking. He will be producing a web series soon based on an unpublished book.
Dhoni’s wife, Sakshi who happens to be the managing director of Dhoni Entertainment Pvt Ltd, says the web series will be a mythological drama set out in a remote island.
“We have acquired the rights of the unpublished book written by a debut author. The web series will be shot on a lavish scale. It revolves around the journey of an Aghori. The adventure drama explores magical realism,” Sakshi said to a national media house.
Sakshi says Dhoni will be partially involved with the production house. Dhoni Entertainment Pvt Ltd has a few other projects including films and web series’ in the pipeline and official announcements regarding the same will be made in the near future.
Dhoni is presently in UAE serving as the captain of the IPL franchise Chennai Super Kings. He is expected to oversee his home banner’s production activities once he returns to India.
