Vishnu Manchu recently faced a significant injury while filming his upcoming Telugu film “Kannappa” in New Zealand. An unfortunate incident involving a drone resulted in an injury to his arm. Mohan Babu, Vishnu’s father and a fellow actor, took to social media to provide an update on his son’s recovery.
Mohan Babu expressed his deep gratitude for the outpouring of love, well-wishes, and concerns that followed Vishnu Manchu’s accident. He shared that Vishnu is on the road to recovery by the grace of God and will soon return to the set to resume filming, concluding with a heartfelt “Har Har Mahadev!”
Additional information about the injury reveals that the accident was caused by a signal discrepancy that led to the drone operator losing control. Consequently, the drone’s blades collided with Vishnu Manchu’s arm, resulting in a severe injury due to the close proximity of the device, which was being used to capture close-range shots for cinematic effect.
Currently, Vishnu Manchu is undergoing medical treatment in a New Zealand hospital, leading to a temporary pause in the film’s production. After his treatment, he is expected to take some time to recover before returning to work.
As for the film “Kannappa,” Vishnu Manchu plays a versatile role in the project, going beyond his lead actor status. His father, Mohan Babu, is producing the film under the banner of 24 Frames Factory. Vishnu has also co-written the story and screenplay with Tanikella Bharani, in collaboration with director Mukesh Kumar Singh. “Kannappa” is a period film with an ensemble cast, including Madhoo and Mohan Babu, and features cameo appearances by Prabhas, Mohanlal, and Shiva Rajkumar.
