Meher Ramesh Gives A Clarity On His Controversial Comments

Meher Ramesh’s upcoming film, “Bholaa Shankar,” featuring Chiranjeevi, is set to hit theaters in just a couple of days. However, in a recent interview, Meher Ramesh discussed the original version of the film, “Vedhalam,” which stirred significant controversy across social media. Meher revealed that he chose to eliminate certain scenes from “Bholaa Shankar” as he perceived them to be cringeworthy. This stance hasn’t been well received by fans of Ajith.

Addressing this matter, Meher Ramesh took to Twitter and posted, “Back in 2015, I was deeply moved by ‘Vedalam’ and how director Siva’s original narrative beautifully depicted the strong bond between a brother and sister, a sentiment relatable to countless individuals. My aim was to bring this emotion to Telugu viewers. Having previously remade Ajith sir’s ‘Billa’ with the wonderful Prabhas in 2009, I’m once again honored to present Ajith Sir’s action-packed entertainer ‘Vedalam’ as Megastar’s ‘Bholaa Shankar.'”

While some Ajith fans appreciate Meher Ramesh’s statement, others feel he should have been more cautious in discussing a specific film. The Telugu adaptation features Tamannaah Bhatia and Keerthy Suresh in pivotal roles.
