There was a decade when the heroines had almost, well almost, footage in a film. That was in the ‘90s. Cut to present times, the heroines barely get a chance to show off their acting skills, except in the songs. In fact, most of the times, the heroines do nothing but dance and sing alongside their superstar heroes.
To trim a long story short, the latest trend for heroines is to accept small but defining roles in big films and get huge remunerations. The audience too are happy to see top heroines matching steps with their stars.
But one interesting fact to note is that despite having small roles, the heroines still have to adjust their personal lives to match the rigorous schedules of big projects. In fact, there is no way that a heroine, even the top ones, can delay a project as the big-budget films bank heavily on the presence of superstars.
It is known that Kajal Agarwal decided to tie the knot with her long-time boyfriend Gautam Kitchloo. One event followed the other and Kajal is now a happily married woman. Post roka, mehendi, haldi and wedding ceremonies, she even enjoyed her first karwa chauth with her husband and had plans to go to a corona-free country with her husband for a honeymoon. But the unit of her forthcoming film with megastar Chiranjeevi had other plans for her. The shooting of Acharya will begin from November 9 and Kajal will have to be present for the long schedule. This means she had to cancel her honeymoon plans and fly back to work.
Some time back, Samantha too was in a similar situation when she had to cancel her honeymoon with husband Naga Chaitanya to be present for the shoot of Rangasthalam opposite Ram Charan. That the film turned out to be a landmark film in her career is a story for another day.
