Noted OTT platform SonyLIV’s original web series Scam 1992 with the Tagline The Harshad Mehta True Story was premiered a couple of weeks ago and has been receiving tremendous response from the subscribers. Directed by Bansal Mehta, the series has now landed in controversies as it has some objections from the stockbroker’ association and media is also highlighting the controversial side of it.
Meanwhile, responding to the controversies, noted actress Shreya Dhanwanthar, who did a key role in Scam 1992 has opened up about media’s attention towards negative and controversial news in the modern era.
In an interaction with a web portal, Shreya said that all the mainstream media houses are filled with noise but not news. She also said that there is no authenticity in the news they have been covering as most of them are paid projections.
With this kind of harsh comments on media, will anyone response to Shreya’s comments, remains to be seen.
