Karan Johar’s directorial venture, “Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani,” hit the theaters on 28th July, receiving mostly positive reviews and a commendable opening day box office collection. The film’s team is delighted with the promising collections over the weekend.
However, as expected, Kangana Ranaut doesn’t appear to be pleased with “Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani.” The actress has been making headlines lately with her outspoken statements, and this time is no different.
Taking to Instagram, Kangana Ranaut shared her opinion via a Story. In essence, she took a dig at Karan Johar for making a movie like “Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani” while Indian audiences are also interested in movies about nuclear weapons and atomic science, like “Oppenheimer.”
It’s worth noting that Kangana seems to have overlooked the fact that Indian audiences also enjoy watching movies like “Barbie,” which is about a life-sized doll. Essentially, both types of films can coexist.
Kangana Ranaut further expressed her views, questioning why Karan Johar needed a budget of 250 Crores for the movie and referring to it as the same old Saas Bahu drama. She criticized the allocation of funds during challenging times for the industry and suggested that Karan Johar retire and make way for young filmmakers to create revolutionary films.
In conclusion, Kangana Ranaut has the right to voice her opinion, and Karan Johar has the right to continue making the films he desires. Ultimately, the quality of the film should speak for itself.
