‘Spy’ didn’t interest people because it didn’t make the Bose connection exciting. Nikhil promoted the movie based on Bose, but it didn’t deliver as expected. ‘Devil’ didn’t reveal the Bose part in its trailers. When asked why by Kalyan Ram, he said to watch the movie to find out. He explained they wanted to surprise the audience without raising false hopes.
How ‘Devil’ portrays Bose’s mysterious death in Tollywood remains to be seen. But Kalyan Ram is careful not to promise too much, unlike Nikhil.
