Tollywood has produced several heroes over the years but only a few could able to hit the top and remained number one hero for a longer time. The stardom started with NTR, and ANR followed by Krishna, Shoban Babu, Krishnam Raju and still continues. While NTR remained the number one hero with a tough competition from ANR during the 60s and early 70s, later Krishna became the number one hero and remained on the top spot for a decade.
However, it was Chiranjeevi who remained in the top spot for close to three decades from mid-1980s to mid-2000s. But, after Chiranjeevi’s self-imposed exile, there’s been a long debate on who is the next numero uno of Tollywood, but none could be on the top spot for long.
Pawan Kalyan, Mahesh Babu, NTR, Prabhas, Allu Arjun are the top contenders. As per the latest survey conducted by Prabhas is the number one Tollywood hero followed by Mahesh Babu in the second spot. NTR is in the third place followed by Allu Arjun at 4th, Ram Charan at 5th, Pawan Kalyan at 6th, Nani at 7th, Vijay Deverakonda at 8th, Chiranjeevi at 9th and Ravi Teja at 10th place. With Prabhas occupying the top spot, his fans are amplified jubilation.
