Allu Arjun’s National Award win for “Pushpa: The Rise” has stirred some controversy. Particularly within the Tamil film industry, where jealousy appears to be running high due to Tollywood’s significant success at the awards ceremony.
In recent times, actor Vishal voiced his skepticism regarding awards, including the National Awards, during an event in Chennai while promoting his upcoming film, “Mark Antony.” He made a bold statement, saying, “I do not believe in awards at all. The true award is bestowed by the collective support of the audience. With the blessings of the audience, I have sustained a long and fruitful career in the industry, and that, to me, is the most significant award.”
Vishal even went as far as to claim that if he were to receive any awards, he would discard them.
Vishal’s reaction may be seen as a form of bitterness and underscores the fact that many actors may be feeling disgruntled about Allu Arjun’s National Award win. This sentiment is not limited to the Tamil film industry alone; Tamil fans on social media have also expressed their frustration over Tollywood’s dominance at the awards ceremony.
