Mahesh Babu’s fans have been expressing their dissatisfaction with Thaman’s background score for “Sarkaru Vaari Paata” for some time now. At one point, there was even a social media campaign to have Thaman removed from Mahesh’s next film, “Guntur Karam.”
Thaman has now made a cryptic and indirect comment in response to this criticism. He stated, “If there is no content in the film, what can I do? Sachina savam ni bathkinchamante ela? (How can I bring a dead body to life?) If there is good content, then I will work extra hard to enhance it further. If the scene is not good enough, whatever I might do, it will not work. I got good content with ‘Akhanda,’ and you could see the good work.”
Thaman’s statement seems to suggest that the content of “Sarkaru Vaari Paata” may not be of the highest quality, which is why he couldn’t fully meet the expectations with his work.
In response, Mahesh’s fans are sharing a video where Thaman is seen saying, “Fans will give the re-recording in theaters after witnessing the mass Mahesh garu and Parasuram cooked up.” They are highlighting the apparent contradiction in Thaman’s stance. During the release of “SVP,” he praised the film’s mass appeal, but now, in response to criticism, he seems to suggest that the film lacks that same vigor, which is why he couldn’t give his best.
It appears that the tension between Mahesh’s fans and Thaman is unlikely to subside in the near future, or at least until Thaman can satisfy them with “Guntur Kaaram.”
