The movie industry is of great uncertainties. A hit and a flop can change the fortunes of the actors overnight. But, Pawan Kalyan seems to be an exception. Pawan Kalyan who delivered six back to back blockbusters during his initial days of career, had to wait for another 10 years for a hit.
Despite delivering duds for a decade, his stardom hasn’t faded and most of his disaster movies minted good collections making him unofficial biggest superstar of Tollywood. However, the scene changed post Baahubali.
Telugu heroes were in the 40-50 crore bracket until Baahubali opened up the market and collected close to 2000 crores globally. Now, the Telugu heroes are targeting 100-220 crore club and actors like Mahesh Babu, Chiranjeevi, NTR, Ram Charan and Allu Arjun have achieved this feat.
However, Pawan Klayan has to still reach that figure. His recent releases Vakeel Saab and Bheemla Nayal despite receiving good applause couldn’t break into the 100 crore club. Hopefully, Pawan Kalyan’s next movies Hari Hara Veera Mallu and Bhavadeeyudu Bhagat Singh will bring him luck.
