The Telugu film industry recently held a congratulatory event at Shilpakala Vedika to celebrate the Oscar win of the movie RRR. However, MAA President Manchu Vishnu was noticeably absent from the event, which raised questions about his absence and whether he was even invited in the first place.
Vishnu’s absence also sparked concerns about the use of the MAA logo at the event without his approval. The fact that some unrelated people were given credit while some deserving contributors were not mentioned on the dais further highlighted the industry’s narrow-mindedness, selfishness, and thoughtlessness.
Additionally, DVV Danayya, the producer of RRR, and Prem Rakshit, the choreographer of the popular “Naatu Naatu” song, were both absent from the congratulatory event. Their contributions to the film and the song deserve recognition and felicitation on the dais. Another notable absence was the singer of the song, Rahul Sipligunj.
