As the Telugu film industry expands its reach to multiple states, OTT streaming giants are willing to shell out huge amounts for the rights, resulting in a surge in the remunerations of the star heroes. It is now rumored that Allu Arjun has become the highest-paid actor in Tollywood, surpassing Prabhas, who has charged over ₹100 crores for his multi-film deals in Bollywood with T-series. Allu Arjun is said to have demanded ₹150 crores for his upcoming film with Sandeep Reddy Vanga, considering his Pan-India success, and the makers have agreed to pay him ₹125 crores.
If his next film, Pushpa 2, performs well at the Bollywood box office, he might even increase his fees further. Currently, Allu Arjun and Prabhas are the only two Telugu heroes in the league of Pan-India stars, with Prabhas charging ₹100 crores per film. While Ram Charan, Jr NTR, and Mahesh Babu are also expected to enter this league with their upcoming projects, their remuneration details are not yet known.
