After a long wait, the OTT platform Aha has finally released “Intinti Ramayanam” in theaters instead of on its own platform. Produced by Naga Vamsi of Sitara Entertainment and directed by Maruthi, this village drama hit theaters today. Let’s delve into our review of the film.

Story:

“Intinti Ramayanam” revolves around Ramulu (Naresh), a kind-hearted and innocent man surrounded by loving people. He always lends a helping hand to his family and others in need. Srinivas (Rahul Ramakrishna) is in love with Ramulu’s daughter Sandhya (Navya Swamy). However, a valuable item goes missing from Ramulu’s house, leading him to suspect everyone in his family, including Srinivas. The film explores the search for the lost item, the identity of the thief, and Ramulu’s subsequent actions.

Plus Points:

Director Suresh Naredla skillfully presents a simple family story that resonates with audiences. His storytelling and character development are truly impressive. Every character is given importance, and the screenplay is engaging, particularly in the first half. The well-executed comedy and authentic Telangana accent succeed in eliciting hearty laughter from the audience.

Veteran actor Naresh delivers a mesmerizing performance once again, immersing himself in the character and leaving a lasting impact. His portrayal is relatable to a wide range of viewers. Rahul Ramakrishna shines in a decent role, giving his best performance. Actress Navya Swamy impresses with her mischievousness in the first half and exhibits maturity in the latter half, delivering a strong performance in her role.

Supporting actors Surabhi Prabhavathi, Gangavva, Anji Mama, Anji, Chevella Ravi, Jeevan, and others justify their roles effectively. The film features three enjoyable songs that add to the overall experience.

Minus Points:

While the story is good and realistic, the second half suffers from a slow-paced narrative. Some scenes are predictable, leading to unnecessary lags that hinder the film’s flow. Certain Telangana words used in the film may pose difficulty for some viewers to understand.

Furthermore, the director could have presented the story with more drama and emotional scenes. It appears that the focus was primarily on generating laughter throughout the two-hour runtime, rather than evoking strong emotional connections. Given the well-written characters, incorporating more sentimentality could have elevated “Intinti Ramayanam” to a better film.

Verdict:

Overall, “Intinti Ramayanam” is a family drama that manages to make an impact to a certain extent. The film’s strength lies in its comedy and the commendable performances of the lead actors. However, a few sluggish scenes, particularly in the second half, may cause some viewers to feel bored. If you can overlook the slow moments, “Intinti Ramayanam” is worth a watch this weekend.
