The success of Prabhas and Prashanth Neel’s film Salaar: Part 1 has been steady, prompting the announcement of its sequel some time ago. However, the filming of the sequel is pending as Prashanth Neel is yet to commence shooting. The duo plans to move forward once they complete their ongoing projects.
Prabhas, currently engrossed in the filming of Kalki 2898 AD and Maruthi’s project, is set to begin shooting for Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit in October. With substantial time allocated for this project, his schedule is tightly packed. Following this, Prabhas has committed to a period film with Hanu Raghavapudi, and work on its script is underway. Consequently, the filming of Salaar 2 is expected to face delays owing to Prabhas’s demanding schedule.
Meanwhile, Prashanth Neel is gearing up to work with NTR for his next project, followed by KGF: Chapter 3 after completing NTR’s film. This means that the shooting for Salaar 2 is unlikely to commence before 2025. The collaboration between Prabhas and Prashanth Neel is anticipated to resume in 2026, with Hombale Films producing Salaar 2. Notably, Prithviraj Sukumaran will have a significant role in the movie.
