Nitesh Tiwari, renowned for his work in “Dangal,” and his team have been diligently working on bringing the epic tale of Ramayana to the big screen. However, the film faced delays primarily due to extensive pre-production efforts. Eventually, Ranbir Kapoor was cast to portray the iconic role of Lord Rama, while talented South Indian actress Sai Pallavi joined the ensemble as Sita. Notably, Kannada Superstar Yash is set to portray the lead antagonist, Ravana.
The film’s production is slated to commence in February 2024, with Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi dedicating significant chunks of their schedules to the project. Yash is expected to join the film’s sets in July of the same year, with the first installment’s shooting expected to conclude by the end of August. The look tests for the lead actors have already been successfully conducted, and the production team is collaborating with a prominent Hollywood studio to deliver top-notch visual effects (VFX).
Directors Nitesh Tiwari and Ravi Udyawar are at the helm of this ambitious and high-budget project, while producers Madhu Mantena and Namit Malhotra are driving the endeavor forward.
