The who’s who of Telugu film industry, fans and general public have been wishing Anil Ravipudi on his birthday. The hero of his last film Sarileru Neekevvaru, Mahesh, posted a nostalgic picture from the sets of the film, wishing him success and happiness.
“How time flies… feels like yesterday… Happiest birthday to one of my favourite directors@Anil Ravipudi,” he wrote.
Anil Ravipudi initially started out as a dialogue writer and later turned screenwriter. He wrote dialogues for films such as Kandireega and Sankham. He went co-script for Masala and Agadu. He later wrote the script for Pataas and worked with Kalyan Ram.
He debuted as a full-fledged director with Supreme and later went on to make Raja The Great with Ravi Teja. But unfortunately for him, the audience did not like the film and Ravi Teja too was at his career’s low.
Big success and adulation came in the form of F2-Fun and Frustration. The film starred Tollywood biggie Venkatest alongside Varun Teja. Though Venkatesh was going through a low phase and Varun Tej was not getting big hits, F2 won the hearts of Telugu audiences and went on to become a huge hit. The film was also screened at the 50th International Indian Film Festival.
Nothing matters more than success in the film industry. And F2, got Anil Ravipudi a chance to work with none other Tollywood’s numero uno, Mahesh Babu. Once again, Ravipudi had a hit in his kitty.
Right now, he has committed to writing screenplay for Sri Vishnu’s next.
His next big-ticket film will be F3, a sequel to F2. Though it was said that Nagarjuna and Akhil could be doing the main roles, it is now certain that Venkatesh and Varun Tej will be reprising their roles in the sequel too.
The film’s shooting has been postponed due to pandemic and will now start on December 14. While Venkatesh may not join the first schedule as he is tied up with the shooting of Narappa, the shooting will commence as film’s producer Dil Raju is making all necessary arrangements.
