Sridevi’s daughter Janhvi Kapoor in her second film starred in the most challenging biopic of India’s first woman fighter pilot Gunjan Saxena. The film titled Gunjan Saxena-The Kargil Girl released on Netflix and the film got mixed reviews.
Janhvi is already facing the heat being a star kid following Sushant Singh Rajput and many attacked her and the producer Karan Johar for casting her as she cannot express herself. Now Indian Air Force took exception to the scenes in the film where it was shown that male officers insulted Gunjan Saxena highlighting the gender bias.
IAF shot down a letter to Dharma Productions, the Censor Board of Film Certification and Netflix for the inaccurate presentation of gender bias in Gujan Saxena =The Kargil Girl. It has taken a strong exception and is demanding deletion of those scenes.
Gujan Saxena, responding to the depiction of gender bias in the film, shocked the makers and Janhvi Kapoor saying ‘ I got equal opportunities in IAF and was well supported by her seniors and fellow officers. “. She added that the filmmakers exaggerrated the incidents for commercial kick.
