Senior actor Mohan Babu was a rage in the 1990s. The actor who played villain roles in many movies has turned into a full-time hero in the early 90s and scored successive hits and at some point of time, he even dominated the leading heroes Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna, Balakrishna and Venkatesh for a few years.
At the time when he was at his prime, one of the budding heroine who was at her career best insulted Mohan Babu by skipping to act in his film. Aarti Agarwal who was the craziest heroine in early 2000s was approached to play the female lead in Mohan Babu’s Thappu chesi Pappu Koodu directed by A. Kodanda Ramireddy. Though she agreed to play the heroine’s role, Aarti Agarwal skip the shooting citing exams as the reason.
Mohan Babu, who understood the situation has agreed for it, but, to his shock, Aarti Agarwal attended the shooting of other movie and ignored Mohan Babu’s movie. After coming to know this, an agitated Mohan Babu consulted the film chamber and made Aarti Agarwal pay a huge penalty of Rs. 10 lakhs. It was buzzed that some heroes have scared Aarti to drop from the movie as Mohan Babu has anger issues.
