Sri Lanka-born Jacqueline Fernandez has made a career in Bollywood and is one of the leading heroines in Hindi. However, her life went upside down for her alleged links with the conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar.
The actress was named in the charge sheet filed by the Enforcement Directorate in the 200 crores extortion case. The actress recorded her statement in the Patiala Court in New Delhi.
According to her statement, Chandrasekhar introduced himself as her biggest fan to her and the owner of SUN TV, and also former Tamil Nadu chief minister Jayalalitha is his aunt.
“Chandrashekhar said he was a big fan, and said I should do films in south India too, and as the owner of Sun TV, they had many projects lined up. We should try to work together in south Indian movies.
“Sukesh misled me, ruined my career and my livelihood,” she said.
With Jacqueline’s name involved in legal issues, she is not getting any movie offers and the actress who was supposed to be a part of Nagarjuna’s The Ghost was replaced by Sonal Chauhan for the same reason.
