There’s a prevalent myth in the film industry that when renowned Tamil composers collaborate on Telugu films, it often spells doom for the movie. This notion has seemed to hold true in the past for composers like Yuvan Shankar Raja, Harris Jayraj, GV Prakash Kumar, and even AR Rahman. Despite their popularity, their success rate in Telugu cinema has been relatively low. Unfortunately, this myth seems to have struck again, affecting Harris Jayaraj’s latest venture, ‘Extra-Ordinary Man.’
The film, featuring Nithin and Sreeleela, has left audiences disappointed, particularly with its musical score. Despite boasting four songs, including tracks like “Danger Pilla” and “Brush Chesko,” they haven’t garnered favorable reviews.
Harris Jayaraj, known for his melodious tunes in Telugu hits like “Orange” and “Vasu,” is now facing criticism for his lackluster work in ‘Extra Ordinary Man.’ While he delivered memorable numbers in movies like “Sainikudu” and “SPYder,” these films, unfortunately, met with box office failure.
Even with previous Telugu successes such as “Cheliya Cheliya” from “Gharshana” and “Nenu Nuvvantu” from “Orange,” his recent works haven’t garnered the same level of appreciation. It’s like the revival of the same old myth!
It remains to be seen if Harris can break this streak and deliver a blockbuster in Telugu, proving this myth wrong once and for all.
